Summer 2012 Day Camp and Show Camp Programs

Our mission. SBF Riding Camp aims to develop correct, confident and independent riders, as well as a true appreciation and understanding of horses – our equine partners. Designed for riders at all levels, SBF campers will improve their skills on the flat and over fences, learn to prepare for a horse shows, enjoy trail rides, a mounted games day, and much more. The week includes demonstrations from a Blacksmith and Vet, where campers can watch and ask questions, as well as daily crafts and games.

Our day camp programs are designed for beginning to advanced-intermediate level riders ages 7-17. We take pride in making sure that each one of our campers receives excellent riding instruction, hands-on horsemanship activities, and has lots of FUN!

Riders may bring their own horse, or use one of our well-schooled horses or ponies.

Full and Half Day Camp is available, with an optional Extended Day program and Horse Show Option.

Full Day Camp runs from Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and includes two 60-90 minute riding lessons in small groups each day, with the option of trail rides. Groups are formed according to riding ability, with advanced, intermediate, and beginner groups available. Half Day Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and includes one 60-90 minute ride daily, and other activities. Riders are taught by experienced instructors in small groups.

The Day Camp also includes plenty of time for grooming and tacking up horses, a mounted games day, and hands-on horsemanship instruction. There will be demonstrations from a Blacksmith and a Vet, where campers can watch, learn, and ask questions, as well as daily crafts and games.
