Stone Bridge Farm is proud to host and coach the Roanoke College Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSH) Riding Team, and physical education courses in riding for Southern Virginia University. Each of these teams meets two times weekly for small group lessons, and shows between two-four times per semester. Opportunities for additional free riding are also available.
Teams can show our horses or their own in the Stone Bridge Farm Horse Show Series, at the nearby Virginia Horse Center, or at other shows in the area. Individual team members may aim to qualify for Southwest Virginia Hunter Jumper Association or Virginia Horse Show Association equitation medal finals, or pursue high-point awards in the hunter or jumper divisions.
Each summer, Stone Bridge Farm accepts two college students as interns.
The Farm also sponsors and coaches Interscholastic Equestrian Association Riding Team for middle and high school students. This team meets twice weekly for practices and lessons, and competes in IEA shows in Virginia and Maryland. See the IEA page for more information.
