Stone Bridge Farm Collegiate

The national Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) provides learning and team competition opportunities for middle and high school age riders.  Riders compete in teams at local IEA shows from December through March, in which they may aim to qualify for regional and even national finals.  Because a team is made up of riders at different levels, riders of all experience levels can take part.  Also, riders do not need to have their own horse or equipment.  Rather, riders use horses provided by the host team.  Thus, IEA Team competition is a fun and relatively affordable way for riders to learn and compete. IEA Team riding is also a great way for them to develop skills and accomplishments that are recognized and valued by colleges. See www.ride-iea.com for more information.

The Stone Bridge Farm IEA team competed for the first time during the 2008-2009 season. Both the middle and high school teams qualified for National Finals, where Stone Bridge riders won National Champion, Varsity Open, and Reserve National Champion Novice!

Stone Bridge teams have expanded for the 2009-2010 season!  Team members come from all surrounding areas, including Roanoke, Salem, Lynchburg, Bedford, Botetourt, Fincastle, Lexington, and Staunton. Please call the Farm for more information!
