Lilly de Sousa will be joining Stone Bridge Farm as Head Instructor on August 1, 2008. Originally from Vermont, Lilly had a successful junior career showing in the Medal/Maclay and hunter divisions under Judy Shailor. While in college at the Savanna School of Art and Design, Lilly was one of four riders on SCAD's National Champion ANRC Team, was named SCAD's Most Valuable Rider, and was chosen to represent SCAD in team competition in Germany. She was then a Working Student for Missy Clark of North Run Farm, riding and showing with Missy in New York and in Wellington, Florida. Since then, Lilly taught for several years with Caroline McNair of McNair’s Country Acres in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was responsible for instructing riders of all levels, and training students at local and regional shows. Most recently, Lilly managed and instructed at Summerwood Farm in Vermont. Working closely with Teddi Ismond (below), Lilly will oversee all aspects Stone Bridge’s lesson, camp, clinic and showing programs.

Beginning in August, Teddi Ismond's expertise as a top trainer of hunters, jumpers and equitation students will also be available to Stone Bridge riders. Teddi has over 30 years of experience teaching students in all divisions, from the Short Stirrup through Grand Prix. A former top student of George Morris', Teddi brings both traditional and very current training approaches to her students, as well as an emphasis on good horsemanship. She has coached students to numerous state, zone and national titles, including the Tad Coffin Zone III Equitation Championship; VHSA, MHSA and NCHJA Medium and Large Children's Hunter Pony Champion; ASPCA Maclay Zone Championship; and ribbons in the USEF Medal, USET Talent Search, and ASPCA Maclay Equitation Finals. Her students are regularly top contenders on the mid-Atlantic "A" circuit, and in shows from Devon to Wellington, Florida. Teddi is also a USEF "R" Judge, and Vice President of the VHSA Equitation Committee. She is based out of Coventry Farm in Ashland, Virginia, but will be available for lessons at Stone Bridge Farm two days per week and by appointment.

Owner, Katrina Weinig manages the Farm's day-to-day operations including all business activities, staffing, marketing and advertising, special events and horse show scheduling. Katrina worked as an attorney in the private and public sector for over 15 years. She is also an experienced horsewoman, showing in both the hunter and jumper divisions, on the "A" circuit and locally. As a Junior rider, she showed throughout the Northeast, winning the New England Equitation Championship in 1976; competing in the AHSA Medal and the ASPCA Maclay Finals in 1974-76; and winning several USET Medals. More recently, her horses have qualified and placed at the Pennsylvania National and Washington International Horse Shows, won several significant regional and state awards, and have been champion at many SWVHJA, VHSA, and USEF shows. Prior to establishing Stone Bridge Farm, Katrina owned and operated a small horse business in Fairfield, Virginia.

Billie Rae Croll oversees the Farm's Boarding and Training services. Over the past ten years, Billie has ridden, shown and worked with several top show barns, including with Carol Thompson of Quiet Winter Farm in New Jersey, Amy Reistrup, Daniel Geither and Paul Matthews. Her expertise and interest is in breaking, training and showing young and green horses. In addition, Billie has a unique background working with Thoroughbreds, both on and off the track: Billie’s family is well-known in the racing industry, and her grandfather is Hall of Fame trainer W.A. “Jimmy” Croll, Jr. This background has served her well in the retraining of ex-racehorses for new careers in the hunter/jumper world, and is an asset to Stone Bridge Farm's training services. Billie is also a knowledgeable and skilled horsewoman, and as Barn Manager, is responsible for all aspects of horse care at Stone Bridge Farm.

Emily Henninger, Assistant Barn Manager, studied Equine Business Management at Cazenovia College. She has a background in eventing and has worked on the track, and also extensive experience breaking and working with young horses. Emily is an Equine Massage Therapist, and has two years training and experience as a farrier.
